Synergetic Utilization of Zinc-Bearing Dust by Carbothermic Reduction-Roasting Process: Phase Transformation and Morphological Evolution

An economic and effective strategy synchronously utilizing blast furnace bag dust (BF-BD) converter-removing (C-RD) by carbothermic reduction roasting is reported to achieve separation recovery of iron zinc. In this paper, the effect operating parameters on rate remove Fe Zn from BD GD was initially studied synergetic reduction. The optimized include a temperature pf 1200 °C, time 90 min, FC/O 2.0, proportion C-RD/BF-BD 7:3, removal efficiency metallization degree reached 98.35% 90.58%, respectively. phase transformation stepwise behavior wüstite (ZnO)x(FeO)1−x, spinel ZnxFe1−xAl2O4, olivine ZnxFe2−xSiO4, gehlenite ZnzFe2−xSiAl2O7 are systematically investigated SEM–EDS, XRD, TG/DTG, thermodynamic analyses. It found that formation (ZnO)x(FeO)1−x as an intermediates plays crucial role in metallic Zn–Fe–C alloy. Phase mechanisms C-RD BF-BD interfacial reaction mechanism were discussed clarified synergistic process.
